The Articles of the WPH Charitable Trust allow Trustees to consider research applications providing they are clearly of potential direct patient benefit to the people of Coventry and Warwickshire. Their spirit however does not primarily embrace laboratory based basic scientific research which is felt to be beyond the remit of the Charity and should be supported by other funding bodies.
